      Background

A native of Arlington, Michael attended Nolan Catholic High School before earning a finance degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He spent four years working in corporate finance at major institutions, where he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and risk assessment. During this time, he pursued his MBA at night, demonstrating his dedication and ability to balance rigorous academic and professional commitments.

Encouraged by his uncle, Steven Livens—a longtime attorney in Hurst—Michael decided to pursue a law degree. He earned his Juris Doctor from UNT Dallas College of Law in 2018, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class. In a unique accomplishment, he passed the Texas Bar Exam before graduating from law school, making him the only newly licensed attorney in his graduating class at his commencement ceremony.

Michael began his legal career at his late uncle’s firm, handling estate planning matters. He later worked in real estate law before transitioning to family law. At Varghese Summersett, he focuses on helping individuals and families through difficult legal challenges, particularly those involving high-stakes financial and property matters.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys staying active outdoors.

Fun Fact: Michael is a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers, a family tradition passed down through generations.
